A new picture has emerged showing the full extent of the facial injury suffered by Manchester City goalkeeperĀ Ederson on Saturday.
The Brazilian was caught by a studs up challenge from Liverpool winger Sadio Mane during the 5-0 victory.
The 24-year-old, signed from Benfica for Ā£35million in the summer,Ā was given oxygen and carried off on a stretcher after the incident.Ā

Ederson required eight stitches and was snapped with a bandage covering the damage to the left side of his face.Ā
Mane was sent off for serious foul play on Saturday andĀ Liverpool are set to appeal his three-match ban.
Mane was shown a red card by referee Jon Moss for raising his foot and clashing with Ederson, leaving the Brazilian requiring eight minutes of treatment before he was taken from the field on a stretcher and wearing an oxygen mask.

Ederson took part in training just three days after suffering the injury in a horror challenge
Liverpool have the option to appeal citing an excessive punishment and hope to see his suspension downgraded to either one or two matches.
The decision to send Mane off split opinion between pundits and fans, but both Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola insisted post match that there was no malice in Mane's challenge.
Klopp told Sky Sports: 'The whole game was the red card. I don't think it's a red card, he doesn't see him. I have seen the goalie already and it's not that bad and it's an accident. It's unlucky, really unlucky to play against City with 10 men.
'It was unlucky, it was an accident. The goalkeeper comes out, Sadio wants the ball. To get a red card in a game like this is really unlucky.'
