Northampton will hold talks with Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink over their vacant manager’s job.

Hasselbaink has managed Royal Antwerp, Burton Albion and QPR - but has been out of work since leaving Loftus Road last year.

The former Dutch international took Burton to the top of League One before vacating his position for Loftus Road, with Nigel Clough returning to the Pirelli Stadium, wining promotion and keeping the Brewers in the Championship in their first season at that level.
He led the Hoops to a 12th-place finish in the second tier before being fired just three months into his first full season, with his side sitting 17th.
In total he took charge of 47 games at QPR, winning just 13 with a win percentage of 27.7.
He is set for talks with Northampton Town about taking over from sacked Justin Edinburgh
