Liverpool chiefs are flying out to Monaco to push through a deal for Thomas Lemar.
The Reds made a revised bid of £74million — plus Divock Origi on loan — for forward Lemar on Tuesday after the French champions rejected a bid on Monday for the 21-year-old.
Manager Jurgen Klopp is keen to bring the France international to Anfield and Lemar is understood to be interested in working under the German.
Liverpool are not backing down in their pursuit of signing Monaco forward Thomas Lemar
The Reds are in a race against time, with Lemar set to feature for France on Thursday night
Origi is surplus to requirements at Liverpool and therefore has been offered as a makeweight in the deal. The Reds are not willing to let him join Premier League rivals Tottenham.
Lemar is part of France's squad for their World Cup qualifier against Holland, which means Liverpool might have to rush through a deal on Wednesday ahead of the close of the deadline at 11pm on Thursday.
Monaco have already prepared for the likely departure of Lemar by signing Keita Balde from Lazio on Tuesday night.

An agreement for Lemar would represent the second time Liverpool have broken their transfer record this week.
They came to a £55m deal which will see RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita, a key target for Klopp, move to Anfield in summer 2018.
'My commitment to RBL remains absolute for the remainder of my time at the club,' said Keita after the deal was agreed.
'I have given my all every time I have worn the shirt – that will be the case until the final whistle, in my final appearance.'
Divock Origi would be allowed to join the Ligue 1 champions on loan for this season
