Fulham have launched a £15million offer for Newcastle striker Dwight Gayle with the transfer deadline fast approaching.
However, Newcastle want between £18m and £20m for the 26-year-old to help fund squad strengthening and make profit.
Gayle, formerly of Crystal Palace, finished as Newcastle's top scorer last season with 23 goals, helping fire them straight back up to the Premier League.

The English striker was left out of Newcastle's squad for their first league win of the season against West Ham on Saturday and was substituted by Rafa Benitez in the club's first two fixtures.
Meanwhile, Fulham are looking to bolster their attacking options before the transfer window closes following a slow start to their Championship campaign.
Slavisa Jokanovic's side sit 14th, having won just one match and scored four goals so far.
