Frank de Boer is facing an uphill battle to keep his job as Crystal Palace manager following crisis talks on Monday.
There is a growing feeling behind-the-scenes at Selhurst Park that the Dutchman will leave the club sooner rather than later after a disastrous start to their Premier League campaign.
De Boer held discussions with club chiefs on Monday following a disastrous start to the league season that has seen them lose all three games, including home defeats to Huddersfield and Swansea.

The upcoming international break would present the club with the opportunity to part ways
It remains to be seen whether Monday’s discussions were enough to ensure De Boer a stay of execution.
But at the very least, the former Ajax manager knows his job is firmly under review.
The current international break presents Palace with an appropriate opportunity to part with De Boer.
As well as three consecutive league defeats there are understood to be growing tensions with the Eagles board regrading transfers.
Palace have so far signed three players: Jairo Riedewald, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Timothy Fosu-Mensah - the latter two arriving on loan.
Sources also claim that a contingent of the club’s first team are still to be convinced by De Boer’s methods.

Dougie Freedman, recently named sporting director at Palace, would likely take charge
There is a belief that the Dutchman’s three-at-the-back system does not fit the club’s current playing personnel.
Players also feel the squad is not suited to the style of play De Boer wants to implement.
All in all the Palace dressing room is not an entirely harmonious place at the moment; an issue the club board are acutely aware of.
The club appointed legend Dougie Freedman into the role as sporting director last week.
Freedman, who has managed Palace in the past, could replace De Boer in the role on a temporary basis.
Palace face Burnley after the international break.
