Arsenal's embarrassing defeat against Liverpool gets everyone talking... with social media users poking fun at boss Arsene Wenger and his struggling side

Arsenal were defeated 4-0 by Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday afternoon and the result caused quite the stir on social media. 

Goals from Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Daniel Sturridge ensured Arsenal fell to their second straight defeat of the season, with their first coming against Stoke away last weekend. 

And following the final whistle in Liverpool, many fans from rival clubs were quick to share a joke about Arsenal's humiliation.

One social media user poked the fun out of Mesut Ozil after the game, uploading this picture

Football fans on social media took the opportunity to upload a series of memes, much to the amusement of everyone... but Gunners fans.

Twitter user @Not_MOTD, poked fun of Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil, by posting a 'Where's Ozil' game for football supporters.

Meanwhile, @QuotesSarcasm uploaded a GIF of The Big Bang Theory character Sheldon blowing into a bag about to be sick, with the caption 'Arsenal fans tonight after watching #MOTD2.'

@FootballFanatic posted an old GIF of Wenger throwing his water bottle onto the floor, writing 'Arsenal fans watching #motd2 like...'

Furthermore, @Twinokwesiga clearly doesn't rate Switzerland midfielder Granit Xkaka, posting a video of 'Baby' from the 'Dinosaurs' laughing when 'Arsenal fans once compared Xhaka to Pogba.'

One fan went for a slightly different approach. @wisdomj11 uploaded a strange video of someone ripping his Arsenal home shirt up with a huge knife.

And of course, the classic Drake hand in front of face meme was used as well, with the caption 'Arsenal fans when it's time for MOTD, no thank you sir.'
