Fulham have launched a bid for Bruges centre back Bjorn Engels.
The 22-year-old was a target for Stoke City prior to them focusing their efforts on signing Tottenham's Kevin Wimmer.
Engels, a Belgium Under 21 international, is 6ft 4in tall and can play in central defence or as a midfielder.

Fulham manager Slavisa Jokanovic also wants to add another forward before Wednesday.
Jokanovic, who watched his side beat Ipswich 2-0 at Portman Road on Saturday, has guided his team to 14th in the table after five matches.
The Cottagers take on league leaders Cardiff in their next outing, after the international break, on September 9.
Engels, who can also play in midfield, has previously been on Stoke's radar
