  • Jordan Henderson has stressed that the subject is not on the players' lips

Philippe Coutinho's future has been the last thing on the minds of his Liverpool team-mates, captain Jordan Henderson insists.

Liverpool face Arsenal with Coutinho again missing with an apparent back injury as he tries to force a move to Barcelona before deadline day.

Unbeaten so far and with progress to the Champions League group stages comfortably achieved, Henderson said: 'It's easy. Whatever happens with players coming in and going out, you stick together as a team and focus on what's important, which is playing well.

'We haven't spoken about [Coutinho]. We have just continued to get on with the job as normal. We have started pretty well and hopefully we can now kick on against Arsenal.'

Coutinho handed in a transfer request after Liverpool owners FSG stated the 25-year-old was not for sale at any price.

The club's stance has not stopped Barca making three bids for the Brazilian, reaching £115 million.
