When asked if a move would be possible for Brazil-born Spain forward Costa, Koeman refused to rule it out.
'I don't know. I said always a warm welcome for every good player and he's a good player,' said the Dutchman ahead of Everton's trip to the Premier League champions. 'We are still looking to bring in a striker. We need more competition up front.'
Koeman said there had been no change in midfielder Ross Barkley's situation and he would welcome him back into the fold if he does not leave the club in this transfer window.

Barkley has refused to sign a new contract at Goodison Park amid interest from Tottenham but a deal has yet to materialise.
'If Ross is staying I am pleased he stays,' added Koeman. 'He is one more good player in this season.'
Everton are set to give a fitness test to Idrissa Gueye who has a hamstring strain while fellow midfielder Davy Klaassen (foot) has been ruled out.
