West Bromwich Albion are poised to pull off a transfer coup after moving ahead in the pursuit of Oliver Burke.
The RB Leipzig winger arrived for a medical at West Brom on Thursday in a blow to Frank de Boer’s plans at Crystal Palace.
Tony Pulis has been looking to add to his attacking options and has kept an eye on Burke since his breakthrough at Nottingham Forest in late 2015.

The news comes as a blow to Crystal Palace boss Frank de Boer, who was keen to sign Burke
Last summer the 20-year-old took the bold step of joining Leipzig in the Bundesliga rather than Premier League clubs such as Tottenham when Forest agreed to his £13million sale, but he has experienced a frustrating time.
Burke helped Leipzig qualify for the Champions League but only started five league games, coming on as a substitute in a further 20, scoring once.
He lost his place in the Scotland squad and is determined to play regularly, with Leipzig looking to recoup £15m.
De Boer had planned to use Burke at right wing-back but Pulis has acted on long-standing interest in what would be West Brom’s fourth major summer signing after Jay Rodriguez, Ahmed Hegazi, and Gareth Barry.
West Brom boss Tony Pulis has been a fan of the 20-year-old since he broke through in 2015
