Eden Hazard and Tiemoue Bakayoko are in contention to face Tottenham on Sunday after coming through a behind-closed-doors friendly unscathed.

The Chelsea duo missed pre-season, the Community Shield defeat by Arsenal and last Saturday's Premier League opener against Burnley due to injury.

But Antonio Conte is set to be handed a major boost ahead of this weekend's trip to Wembley after Hazard and Bakayoko starred in an 8-0 thrashing of QPR's Under 20 side on Thursday.

Hazard has not played since breaking his ankle during a training session with Belgium at the start of June, but he returned with a goal during the secret friendly.

The 26-year-old played 45 minutes for the Blues side, which was led by Conte himself, at Chelsea's Cobham training base.

Bakayoko could be in line for his first appearance against Spurs after returning to action following a troublesome knee injury.

The France international arrived from Monaco in a £40million deal in July after a protracted transfer saga which was complicated by him undergoing surgery.

He was also involved in the match, which saw youngster Charly Musonda score twice and Loic Remy feature.

The news of Hazard and Bakayoko's return to fitness comes as a timely lift for Conte, who will be without suspended duo Gary Cahill and Cesc Fabregas against Mauricio Pochettino's side.

The pair were sent off during last weekend's shock 3-2 home defeat by Burnley, while the Italian is short of central midfielders following the sales of Nemanja Matic and Nathaniel Chalobah.
