Tottenham made their opening offer on Monday and the 21-year-old is ready to agree terms on a five year contract after underlining his desire to move to the Premier League.

The Colombian was an outstanding performer for the Dutch club last season and has attracted interest across Europe with Inter Milan and Barcelona both monitoring the player.

Sanchez is likely to replace Kevin Wimmer who is poised to join West Bromwich Albion next week.

The Baggies' move for the Austrian comes after Manchester City stepped up their interest in Jonny Evans, but Sportsmail understands that Tony Pulis is interested in signing the 23-year-old regardless of whether Evans remains at The Hawthorns.
