Barcelona are considering a move for Marco Asensio if they cannot sign Philippe Coutinho or Ousmane Dembele this summer - but the Real Madrid starlet has a £72million release clause.
It is no secret that Barcelona's primary target to replace PSG-bound Neymar is Coutinho, but Liverpool released a statement on Friday insisting he will not be sold.
Dortmund are also putting up a fight to keep hold of their young talent Dembele, and Diario Gol are now reporting that Asensio could be next on the list.
Marco Asensio has a £72million release clause but reports state Barcelona are keen on him
Asensio won the European Super Cup with Real Madrid this week, and has a big future
The 21-year-old played 38 times last season in his breakthrough season at the Bernabeu, and his inclusion in the squad for his side's Super Cup win over Manchester United shows he is in the manager's plans for this season.
There is a huge amount of promise in his ability, and Real Madrid are unlikely to want to sell him, especially to a rival, but money talks.
It has been reported that Asensio's release clause is €80m (£72m), a huge amount for a player of his age and inexperience.
Following Neymar's world record move to PSG though, Barcelona have money to spend - £198m to be precise.
Asensio only joined Real Madrid three years ago, for a paltry £3m, and Real could be tempted by the huge increase they would make on the attacking midfielder.
He was born in Majorca and began his career on the Spanish island, before moving to the Bernabeu at the age of 18.
