Burnley boss Sean Dyche targets £12m Lille striker Nicolas de Preville to replace Andre Gray

Burnley have launched a £12million move for Lille striker Nicolas de Preville.

The 26-year-old scored 14 goals in 30 games for the French league side last season after arriving on loan from Belgian side KV Ostend.

Lille took up an option to make the deal permanent this summer and saw de Preville open his account in their 3-0 opening day win over Nantes last week.

Burnley have been discussing a number of options to replace Andre Gray, who left for Watford this week, including Colombian Duvan Zapata of Napoli.

De Preville is 6ft tall, skilful, has pace and can play on either wing as well as in the central role.

Meanwhile, Burnley have had a £5million bid for Hull City winger Sam Clucas rejected.
