Danny Rose went rogue and spoke out about Tottenham Hotspur's weak wages in comparison to the Premier League's other clubs.
'I am worth more than I am getting,' Rose explained in an interview that has caused a stir at the club's Enfield training ground.
The left back is believed to be paid £65,000 per week by the north Londoners, though he could easily double that elsewhere, possibly even triple.

Spurs have yet to sign anyone this summer with Kyle Walker (left) leaving for Manchester City
Manchester United's Luke Shaw, for example, is the Premier League's best paid in that position on £130,000 a week.
Manchester City signed left back Benjamin Mendy from Monaco for £52million and he is understood to be on £100,000, not including bonuses. Still more than Rose —and the majority of his team-mates.
'In any walk of life, if you think you are worth a certain amount, why settle for less?' Rose told The Sun. 'I am not that person.
'I will make sure I get what I am worth. I know what I am worth. As with everyone else in my team, in my opinion, I am worth more than I am getting.'

Tottenham's best-paid players are Hugo Lloris and Harry Kane, both on £100,000 a week.
The Premier League's best-paid goalkeeper is Manchester United's David de Gea on £200,000 a week — twice as much as Lloris.
The best-paid striker is Manchester City's Sergio Aguero on £240,000 — twice as much as Kane and then some.
Tottenham lost right back Kyle Walker to City in a £50m move this summer and the 27-year-old is now pocketing about £150,000. His replacement, Kieran Trippier, is paid about £65,000.

Dele Alli is one of Spurs' superstars and he has been linked with Barcelona and Real Madrid.
Despite that, Alli has a £60,000-a-week deal and it is far shy of others, such as Yaya Toure (£220,000) and Paul Pogba (£280,000).
There is also Chelsea's Eden Hazard on £220,000 and Philippe Coutinho — the Liverpool winger wanted by Barcelona — on £150,000.

Paul Pogba, the Manchester United midfielder, earns a whopping £280,000 per week
Another right winger is Raheem Sterling on £180,000, though Hazard is the best-paid for that position.
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has been hailed as the toughest negotiator in football, though his apparent reluctance to pay players the same as other clubs has been criticised.
Now, it could leave Mauricio Pochettino without his two first-choice full backs in the Premier League this season.
Christian Eriksen is another star performer for Spurs but the Dane is on a £75,000 a week deal
By comparison, Chelsea's Eden Hazard is on £220,000 and Philippe Coutinho on £150,000
