Liverpool unveil new £5m-a-year shirt sleeve sponsorship with Western Union after signing global partnership

- Money transfer company's logo will appear on team's shirt sleeves next season
Liverpool have signed a £5million-a-year deal with Western Union for the money transfer company to become the club's first shirt sleeve sponsor.
Liverpool announced on Wednesday that the two parties had signed a 'multi-year partnership', with Western Union also becoming an 'official principal partner and the official money transfer partner' of the club.
The Western Union logo will appear on Liverpool shirt sleeves. They are the 10th Premier League club to take advantage of the new sponsorship opportunity.

Manchester City, Chelsea and Crystal Palace are among the clubs who have agreed shirt sleeve deals ahead of the coming season.
Billy Hogan, chief commercial officer and managing director at Liverpool, said: 'Western Union is an instantly recognisable brand with a truly global footprint and we are absolutely delighted to welcome them as our first ever shirt-sleeve Sponsor and official principal partner.
'We are very much looking forward to working with Western Union through this partnership to create new experiences and opportunities for our fans both in the UK and abroad.'
