Tottenham to tell Manchester United left-back Danny Rose is not for sale

  • Tottenham will remain firm in the face of transfer interest in Danny Rose
  • Manchester United are interested in the England international left-back
  • After losing Kyle Walker, Spurs do not want to lose another key player to rival

Tottenham will insist Danny Rose is not for sale to those interested in the left-back, including Manchester United.

Having already seen one full-back sold to a Premier League rival in Kyle Walker's £50million move to Manchester City, Tottenham have no intention of losing another.

Rose is contracted with the club until 2021 and the 27-year-old has a big part to play in Mauricio Pochettino's plans this season.

Losing him as well as Walker would be a big blow for Spurs, who are set for Champions League football this season but have yet to make a single signing this summer.

Tottenham will be starting the season with Ben Davies in the left-back position because of Rose's knee injury.

As well as United, Inter Milan were also said to be interested in Rose.
