Stoke City are discussing a deal for former Schalke forward Jean-Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting.
The Hamburg-born Cameroon international is out of contract at Schalke and can join on a free transfer.
Choupo-Moting is 6ft 3in tall but quick, technically good and can play as a left winger or secondary striker

Manager Mark Hughes wants versatility in his front line after selling Marko Arnautovic and Jon Walters. And the 28-year-old Choupo-Moting can provide it.
Though he only scored three goals for Schalke from the wing last season, he has 13 in 42 appearances for Cameroon.
Stoke are continuing talks with Juventus over a £12million deal for midfielder Mario Lemina while Mark Hughes also likes Andros Townsend at Crystal Palace.
Hughes remains keen to add Bruno Martins Indi from Porto and wants another full-back too.
Meanwhile, Stoke have rejected a bid from Newcastle United for Joselu, though they are expecting an improved offer.
