Manchester United new-boy Nemanja Matic sits with Paul Pogba as they head to Dublin for friendly... and Romelu Lukaku gets jealous

  • Nemanja Matic is en route to Dublin with his new Manchester United team-mates
  • The Red Devils are set to face Italian outfit Sampdoria at the Aviva Stadium
  • But Romelu Lukaku is already jealous of United's latest summer recruit
  • Lukaku's best friend Paul Pogba has chosen to sit with Matic on coach journeys

Nemanja Matic looked to be settling in well with his new Manchester United team-mates as they made their way to Dublin for a clash with Sampdoria... but the Serb's arrival has not gone down well with Romelu Lukaku.

Matic posed for a picture with his new United pals while en route to Ireland - an image which was later uploaded to social media via Paul Pogba's official Instagram account.

But it is this growing bromance between Pogba and new signing Matic which isn't going down well with Lukaku, who has had to sit by and watch his best friend ditch him on the team coach.

Taking to his own Instagram account in a playful mood, Lukaku took a video of Pogba sitting besides Matic on the trip and joked: 'You see it, Matic came and he left me @PaulPogba.'

Pogba and Lukaku have been long-time friends, way before the Belgium international made the switch to Old Trafford.

The duo spent most of the summer holidaying together in Los Angeles, and were still on their break when Lukaku's move to Manchester United went through.

Spirits in the Red Devils camp appear to be very high, with things coming together on the pitch ahead of another vital Premier League season.

Lukaku took no time at all in getting among the goals in a red shirt, while Matic is widely expected to have a significant impact in midfield and provide space for Pogba to create.

Matic is poised to make his debut for United as they come up against Serie A side Sampdoria on Wednesday evening - kick-off 7.45pm.

After completing his £40m move to Old Trafford to become Jose Mourinho's third major signing of the summer, the Serbian star was handed the No 31 shirt.

The move sees Matic link up with Mourinho once again, following their successful time together at Chelsea.
