Brighton forward Glenn Murray was sent off as his side failed to score against La Liga new boys Girona.
Both teams are gearing up for the new season following promotion and each had chances to break the deadlock in what proved to be a hard-fought draw.

The striker was again involved soon after but narrowly missed Jamie Murphy's cross from the right.

Lewis Dunk was next to have an attempt on goal but his header was cleared by Girona.
Brighton finally found the net 13 minutes from time but the linesman raised is flag to rule out Murphy's effort.
Murray then received his first yellow card for dissent after suffering a knock to the head before he was given his marching orders for a high foot on Pere Pons five minutes from time.
