Zlatan Ibrahimovic promised 'a very big announcement' on his future after being photographed leaving a restaurant in Manchester with agent Mino Raiola.

Ibrahimovic also shared a picture of the two of them on Instagram, Raiola holding his middle finger up with the caption 'the one and only #minoraiola'.

The 35-year-old is a free agent following his release by Manchester United after a year at Old Trafford. He is not expected to be able to play until the start of 2018 as he recovers from rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament in April, in the Europa League quarter-final against Anderlecht.

Ibrahimovic told snappers that 'there will be a very big announcement soon, it will be huge' when quizzed on his future as he and Raiola were on their way out of the restaurant Tattu in central Manchester.


Despite United deciding against offering Ibrahimovic a contract extension due to the recovery time with his injury, the striker is allowed full use of the club's training facilities to rebuild fitness.

The Swede netted 28 goals in 46 games for United after joining Jose Mourinho's side on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain a year ago.

His efforts helped United to the Europa League final, where they beat Ajax 2-0 to seal a place in next season's Champions League.
