Hull are looking to bolster their options ahead of the new season as they look to bounce straight back up to the Premier League
SIMON JONES: Manchester City have lined up a move for Red Star Belgrade teenage brothers Luka and Ivan Ilic.
Ivan is 16 but actually made his first team debut before his elder brother when he played against Spartak Subotica on April 1 and became the youngest player in Red Star's history at 16 years and 15 days.
Luka is an 18-year-old defensive midfielder and he came on as a substitute in their Europa League qualifier against Floriana of Malta.
Marseille are discussing a move for Manchester City striker Wilfried Bony who also has interest from Fenerbahce.
SIMON JONES: Liverpool say they have yet to receive any enquiries from Paris Saint-Germain for Philippe Coutinho.
The 25-year-old Anfield idol is pivotal to Liverpool's plans for this season and they have no intention of selling though are wary of interest being generated in the skilful Brazilian.
PSG are keen to add a star name this summer as they jostle for position with rivals for Monaco's Kylian Mbappe and James Rodriguez at Real Madrid.
SIMON JONES: Tom Lees remains among the targets being considered by Burnley.
Stoke City and Leicester are also understood to have considered the 26-year-old who has been a mainstay of Sheffield Wednesday's defence since joining on a free transfer from Leeds United in 2014.
Burnley have also earmarked Lamine Kone at Sunderland though it is understood the Ivory Coast international is waiting on offers from other clubs.
SIMON JONES: Leicester are lining up a renewed bid for West Brom defender Jonny Evans.
Albion insist Evans is not for sale but Leicester believe the 29-year-old Northern Ireland international would be interested in joining them as they continue to test Albion's resolve.
Wayne Rooney has insisted that life at Manchester United had not gone 'stale' but insists the lack of game-time under Jose Mourinho was a key factor in his decision to leave for Everton.
The 31-year-old spoke to the press for the first time since sealing an emotional return to Goodison Park on Wednesday afternoon and addressed speculation that his final few months at Old Trafford were something of a struggle. Although he admitted sitting on the bench was frustrating, he said he had stayed positive throughout.
Rooney said on life at United: 'It hadn’t gone stale. But I needed to play more games. I didn’t play that often. It's obviously frustrating. My whole career, I've played and it was the first time I was on the bench and it's not me. I need to play.
SIMON JONES: West Brom are waiting to see if Ronald Koeman will allow Gareth Barry to leave Everton this summer.
The 36-year-old is wanted by Tony Pulis to anchor his midfield following the departure of Darren Fletcher to Stoke City.
Barry is well thought of by Koeman, who sees him as a role model for younger players, yet the continued recruiitment of midfielders means the former England international will have limited game time this season.
Albion would be willing to offer a two year deal while Burnley, who are talking to Swansea's Jack Cork, also have an interest.
Everton are willing to sell James McCarthy this window and his departure could dictate whether they allow Barry to leave also.
SIMON JONES: Crystal Palace are keen on Club Brugge defender Stefano Denswil.
The 24-year-old started out at Ajax where he initially attracted a lot of attention from the likes of Manchester United and AC Milan. However, he fell out of favour under now Palace boss Frank de Boer and was allowed to leave for Club Brugge.
He has improved while in Belgium, winning the league, and has been a recent target for Monaco and Everton. De Boer is understood to be keen to give the versatile Denswil another chance as he looks to strengthen a suspect defence.
Palace are also signing Ruben Loftus-Cheek on loan from Chelsea for the season.
SIMON JONES: Christian Benteke has been discussed by Everton as an alternative option should they fail to prise Olivier Giroud from Arsenal.
It is understood no contact has yet been made with Palace for the 26-year-old who is happy in London and looking for a new home there.
However, the former Liverpool striker is admired by staff at Goodison Park.
Everton want to sign three more players this window following Wayne Rooney's arrival with £50m-rated Gylfi Sigurdsson and Giroud top of their list. Giroud travelled with Arsenal to Sydney on Sunday as Everton ponder their next move.
Benteke is also on Chelsea's list of options but Palace would be reluctant to lose their main striker who cost £27million last year.
SIMON JONES: Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny is hoping to finalise his move to Juventus this week for around £13 million.
Sportsmail revealed the Italian champions' interest in Szczesny earlier this summer and the Poland international is keen for the deal to be signed off after he was left off Arsenal's trip to Australia.
Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri sees Szczesny as the successor of Gianluigi Buffon, who is expected to retire next year.
SIMON JONES: Marko Arnautovic has told Stoke City he wishes to leave the club.
The Austrian international only committed to a new contract to 2020 last year after turning down a move to Everton.
West Ham have an interest while AC Milan and Paris St Germain have also shown interest in the past year also.
The 28-year-old scored seven goals last season and has been capped 62 times by Austria
SIMON JONES: James Rodriguez wants his future resolved swiftly after being offered to Europe's elite clubs including Manchester United and Chelsea.
Real Madrid want £62million for the Colombia international with Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich also among the clubs to have spoken to his entourage in recent weeks.
Agent Jorge Mendes has pushed him to Manchester United, as a possible replacement for Wayne Rooney, but relations between the two clubs are not the best at the moment following United's withdrawal from talks over Alvaro Morata.
The two clubs are due to face each other on July 23 in California with Madrid flying out to the USA on Tuesday.
Bayern are selling Douglas Costa to Juventus and the Rodriguez camp hope that may open up a route for the 25-year-old.
CRAIG HOPE: Rafa Benitez is growing increasingly frustrated with Newcastle United’s lack of progress in the transfer market.
The Magpies have made an offer in the region of £8million for Norwich winger Jacob Murphy but have been told he is not for sale and sources have indicated that progress on that front looks unlikely.
Sportsmail also understands that Newcastle will not be revisiting a loan move for Liverpool wideman Sheyi Ojo as the demands for the deal are too high.
RORY O'CALLAGHAN: Barcelona star Neymar is hopeful the club can agree a deal to sign his international team-mate Paulinho from Guangzhou Evergrande.
Barca boss Ernesto Valverde is keen to bring in midfield reinforcements ahead of his first season at the Nou Camp and has identified Paulinho as a potentially cheap option, although Guangzhou are determined to hold on to one of their marquee players.
The Chinese Super League club rejected a £17million offer from the Spanish giants earlier this month and Neymar has urged Barcelona's hierarchy to do all they can to bring Paulinho to Catalonia before the transfer window closes.
'Paulinho is a friend of mine in football,' Neymar told reporters back in his native Brazil, after featuring in a five-a-side tournament in Sao Paolo.
'I want him to sign for Barca because with a player like him, who's also a mate of mine, we'll get so much.'
DANNY GALLAGHER: Wayne Rooney cannot wait to get stuck into pre-season, and sees Everton's upcoming trip to Tanzania as the perfect way to get things started.
The 31-year-old sealed an emotional return to his boyhood club this week and is poised to get stuck straight into the action when the Toffees head to East Africa later in the week.
Rooney is hoping to use the trip to spend some quality time with his new team-mates and get to know everybody before the Premier League campaign.
Charlton's Player of the Year has signed a new three-year contract with the club.
Holmes scored 13 goals in 38 matches last season while contributing six assists.
Liverpool goalkeepers Simon Mignolet, Loris Karius and Danny Ward must all prove themselves and fight for a regular spot in the starting line-up, says manager Jurgen Klopp.
Belgium international Mignolet has been the preferred shot-stopper for Klopp, playing 31 games last season, with the German Karius limited to 16 games. The duo now face competition from Ward, a Wales international.
Ward, 24, spent last season on loan at Huddersfield Town and helped the club gain promotion to the top tier, making a crucial save in the play-off final penalty shootout to help his side beat Reading.
'That's very comfortable for the manager, three really good goalkeepers,' Klopp told the club's website.
'It is like it is and nothing is decided. They can all show how good they are. I don't want to bring doubt so that they start doubting. We have three goalkeepers and they can all show what they are able to do, and then we will see who will start.'
Dani Ceballos is leaving Real Betis and is set to sign for Real Madrid, Angel Haro, president of Betis, said on Monday.
Spanish midfielder Ceballos, 20, was the subject of a tug-of-war between La Liga giants Madrid and Barcelona, but eventually opted to join Zinedine Zidane's side.
'Dani has rejected Betis' renewal offer, from what we know he has a deal with Real Madrid,' Haro told a news conference.
MATT BARLOW: Chelsea have regrouped to launch the defence of the Premier League title without top-scorer Diego Costa.
The fractious relationship between Costa and manager Antonio Conte has broken and appears to be irreparable.
Conte does not want him to be part of the future and the feeling is mutual, Costa does not want to work for the Italian manager.
It is not about to be patched up simply because Romelu Lukaku’s decided to snub Chelsea for Manchester United.
Conte will pursue alternative targets up front, starting with Alvaro Morata and Andrea Belotti.
So CLICK HERE to find out what's next for the controversial striker.
Wayne Rooney has trained with his Everton team-mates for the first time after securing an emotional return to his boyhood club.
Thirteen years after leaving Goodison Park for Manchester United, where he subsequently won every honour in the English game and became the Red Devils' all-time leading scorer, Rooney is back in Blue after returning to the Toffees on a free transfer.
The move was announced on Sunday afternoon and, 24 hours later, he was out on the training field with his new team-mates at Everton's Finch Farm training base as the former England captain got to work.
Brighton announced on Monday that Elvis Manu has joined Turkish outfit Genclerbirligi SK on a free transfer.
Manu, who has signed a two-year deal, moved to Brighton in 2015 but failed to secure regular game time.

Former Chelsea chief executive Ron Gourlay has been appointed to a similar role at Sky Bet Championship Reading.
Gourlay, who previously held senior roles at Manchester United and Umbro, will replace Nigel Howe, who is to take up the role of vice-chairman after more than 21 years in the post he has vacated.
The vastly-experienced Gourlay, who presided over Premier League, FA Cup, Champions League and Europa League glory during his time at Stamford Bridge, is relishing his new challenge.
He told the Royals' official website: 'I am delighted to take up this new position as chief executive at Reading Football Club and I consider it a real honour to be presented with the fantastic challenge of guiding the club to the next level.
'I look forward to working closely with all the staff who, through their dedication and commitment on a day-to-day basis, strive to make this club successful at every level - and I am excited to be working alongside manager Jaap Stam and his coaching team, director of football Brian Tevreden and a very promising squad of players ahead of what I am sure will be another exhilarating campaign in the Sky Bet Championship.'
DANIEL MATTHEWS: Luka Modric has warned team-mates Alvaro Morata and James Rodriguez that the only way is down if they decide to leave Real Madrid for the likes of Chelsea or Manchester United.
The two Los Blancos stars are expected to complete moves away from the Bernabeu this summer. United, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain are all in the race to secure the £62million signature of Rodriguez, while Antonio Conte's side are also set to bid £70m for Morata after missing out on Romelu Lukaku.
Both players are at the exit door having struggled to nail down a regular first-team spot at the Bernabeu under manager Zinedine Zidane. But Modric has told them they will never find another club like Madrid.
Lyon have finalised the signing of Kenny Tete from Eredivisie outfit Ajax.

Olivier Ntcham is poised to sign a four-year contract with Celtic and complete a move from Manchester City worth in excess of £4.5million.

Sportsmail understands Celtic are working to finalise the remaining details before tying up a long-term commitment that will make Ntcham their third summer signing.
Chelsea's new signing Antonio Rudiger will not be with the champions as they begin their pre-season today.
Germany international defender Rudiger signed a five-year deal with the Blues on Sunday, leaving Roma for a fee of £31million that could rise to £33.3m.
Rudiger is set for some additional time off as a result of Germany's recent Confederations Cup final win. However the majority of Antonio Conte's squad are due to return to pre-season training.
IAN LADYMAN EXCLUSIVE: Swansea have told Everton they want upwards of £45m for playmaker Gylfi Sigurdsson
The Premier League club are aware of increasing interest in Sigurdsson from Everton and also from Leicester City.
Everton hope to do a deal somewhere near the £35m mark but sources at Swansea indicated today that the Welsh club will not sell for less than £45m. Ideally, that figure would be edged up towards £50m by various playing-related add-ons.
CRAIG HOPE: It was long before reports emerged of Everton's interest in Wayne Rooney that boss Ronald Koeman revealed one of his backroom team was begging him to sign the then England captain.
Duncan Ferguson - Rooney’s friend and childhood idol - was in the ear of the Dutchman on a daily basis, for even as far back as November he knew that the idea was far from fantasy.
It cannot be underestimated, then, the role of Ferguson in Rooney’s sensational return to Goodison Park this week.
Their friendship was strong enough for Ferguson to persuade Rooney to turn out in the blue of his former club for his testimonial match two years ago, even though he was captain of Manchester United at the time. Only for Ferguson would Rooney make such a commitment.

ANTHONY HAY: Soon-to-be Manchester United forward Romelu Lukaku has posted a farewell message to Everton fans ahead of his impending move to Old Trafford.
Lukaku is close to finalising a £75million move to United after Jose Mourinho beat off competition from Chelsea to sign the 24-year-old centre forward.
The Belgium international is currently in Los Angeles with close friend Paul Pogba and will join up with the rest of his new team-mates on Monday for pre-season training.
He said on Instagram: 'I want to say a big thank you to all the people involved at Everton.
'I want to thank the fans for your support throughout the four years we've spent together.
'You guys helped me through all my games and I can proudly say it was an honour to play in front of you.
'To the staff at the the stadium and training ground, thank you for making me feel at home from the first day I walked in. To my team-mates it was great to play with you guys. To technical staff thank you for helping me become a better player.
SIMON JONES: Crystal Palace goalkeeper Steve Mandanda is close to joining Marseille in a deal worth up to £5m.
Marseille have also shown interest in Manchester City striker Wilfried Bony.
SIMON JONES: Manchester United goalkeeper Sam Johnstone will join Aston Villa on Monday.
The 24-year-old has been a target for a number of Championship and Premier League sides but will sign for Villa on a season-long loan.
Johnstone, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Villa Park, has been back in training at United's Carrington complex and was not be part of the tour party that travelled to the USA on Sunday.
Villa have signed John Terry and hope to add Glenn Whelan from Stoke City also. Experienced defender Chris Samba has also been training with the squad in Portugal.
Manager Steve Bruce said: 'We hope to be able to announce something in the next 24/48 hours if we can. That would be ideal. It’s no big secret that I am still hoping we can tie up Sam Johnstone from Manchester United. I think that’s still ongoing but ultimately we have to respect Manchester United. I know they go on tour on Sunday. We will see what develops in the next 24/48 hours.'
Johnstone still has another year left on contract at United after this one.
SIMON JONES: Chelsea youngster Ruben Loftus-Cheek is going to fellow Premier League side Crystal Palace on a season-long loan.
It will be Frank de Boer's first signing as Palace manager.
The Eagles have beaten off competition from Newcastle, Southampton and Brighton.
ADAM SHERGOLD: Japanese side Tokyo Verdy has emerged as a possible destination for the Roma legend Francesco Totti.
The 40-year-old striker, who left his boyhood club at the end of the season after almost three decades there, has yet to decide whether to continue playing.
There has been interest from Major League Soccer clubs, but according to Verdy president Hideyuki Hanyu, the J-League is looking the more likely destination.
LUKE AUGUSTUS: Barcelona's pursuit for Marco Verratti remains intact with Paris Saint-Germain not against the idea of selling their Italian playmaker.
Mundo Deportivo leads with this story on the front cover of their paper on Monday.
According to the Catalan publication, Barcelona haven't 'tired' on the idea of signing the Italy international - who has been their main target so far this summer.
Mundo Deportivo also takes detail from French paper L'Equipe, who claim that PSG would expect a fee between £62-88million for Verratti's services.
MARTIN SAMUEL: If Manchester United are looking to make a flying start this season, then Romelu Lukaku is most definitely their man. The first visitors to Old Trafford on August 13 are West Ham, and they are Lukaku’s mark.
In four seasons at Everton, he scored in nine games against West Ham. He likes Aston Villa, too, scoring in five games over three seasons, and Crystal Palace, with four scoring appearances. Signing for United solves another problem, too, because he certainly doesn’t thrive against them: a run of 10 games without a goal.
He never scored a League goal against Chelsea for Everton, either — albeit he couldn’t play against them when on loan — and just one against Tottenham. He does better against Manchester City, and reasonably against Arsenal and Liverpool. But his overall record against the top six clubs amounts to 16 goals in 57 appearances.
This does not make Lukaku a dud. Diego Costa did not score against Manchester United or Tottenham last season, and only against Arsenal in the FA Cup, and Chelsea still won the League.
Yet the last time Manchester United claimed the title — season 2012-13 — Robin van Persie was prolific against their biggest rivals. He scored against every opponent in the top 10, bar ninth-placed Swansea. He scored against Liverpool and Arsenal home and away.
Former Norwich goalkeeper John Ruddy has signed for Wolves on a two-year contract.
Ruddy's arrival comes just days after Carl Ikeme was diagnosed with acute leukaemia.
In a statement on Wolves' website, they insist they have pursued Ruddy throughout the summer.
'First and foremost I want to send my best wishes to Carl and his family at this difficult time,' said Ruddy after signing.
'As the club have already stated he is going to be backed with all the help and support that he and his family need.
'I know the players that have been here for a very long time with him will be feeling it as well.
'So yes, this is a bitter sweet feeling for me – it is good to be here but the circumstances could have been better.
'The plan would have been for me to come in and here and be competing against Carl.'
Chelsea are ready to launch a staggering 80m euros (£71m) bid for Real Madrid's Alvaro Morata, according to AS.
With Romelu Lukaku's imminent move to Manchester United, Chelsea have turned their attentions to signing the Spanish forward.
Chelsea are stepping up their pursuit of a striker after signing Antonio Rudiger on Sunday.
LAYTH YOUSIF: Arsenal forward Kaylen Hinds has joined Bundesliga side Wolfsburg on a three-year deal.
Kaylen, 19, came through the club's academy after joining a local Premier League Kicks scheme run by Arsenal's community section.
He then signed as professional with the North Londoners two years ago - but could not force his way into the first team.
Olivier Giroud is in Arsenal's 25-man squad for their tour of Australia and China – suggesting no move away from the Gunners is imminent.
The 30–year-old striker, a target for Everton and Marseille, boarded the flight to Sydney with the Gunners' travelling party on Sunday.
New £52m man Alexandre Lacazette was also on the plane, along with Mesut Ozil, who had been linked with a move away from Arsene Wenger's side.
RORY O'CALLAGHAN: Inter Milan manager Luciano Spalletti has revealed he intends to speak with Ivan Perisic amid speculation the winger wants to leave the club for Manchester United.
Croatia international Perisic has been linked with a move to Old Trafford after liking Paul Pogba's recent Instagram post welcoming Romelu Lukaku to the Red Devils.
Reports in Italy have suggested United are considering a £45million offer for Perisic, who scored 11 goals in 42 appearances for the Nerazzurri last season.
BEN GROUNDS: Kylian Mbappe is on his way back to Monaco for the start of pre-season on Monday morning, despite the uncertainty surrounding his future and growing interest from Real Madrid.
The 18-year-old is valued at over £100million and is the most sought-after forward in Europe after a stunning breakthrough season in Ligue 1 in which he played his part in winning the domestic title.
Real Madrid are still expected to sell Alvaro Morata this summer, despite Manchester United cooling their interest in the striker, meaning the Spanish giants will have space as well as the funds to launch a potential world-record bid for the Frenchman.
Happy Monday everyone! Another day of transfer updates to bring you.
Please stick with us throughout the day as we keep you up to date with the latest transfer news surrounding your club.
