Burnley want to sign Crystal Palace midfielder James McArthur.
The 29-year-old Scotland international could become surplus to requirements under Frank de Boer as the Palace manager looks to change his midfield options.
McArthur joined Palace from Wigan Athletic in 2014 and has been one of their more unsung players, often utilised to break up opposition attacks in midfield.

During his time with the Eagles McArthur has made 95 appearances and scored nine goals, including five in the Premier League last season.
Burnley boss Sean Dyche is a big admirer and wants McArthur to bolster his side, wary that he could lose unsettled Belgium international Steven Defour also this summer.

Manager Steve Bruce is working on a deal for Stoke City's Glenn Whelan but also wants McArthur. However, he may need to get more players out before he can make a serious bid.
In other transfer news left-back Jordan Amavi is joining Sevilla.
