Chelsea star David Luiz goes windsurfing as footballers enjoy their final days of summer holiday... but Arsenal defender Shkodran Mustafi's break is only just beginning

  • Chelsea defender David Luiz shared a snap on social media of him windsurfing
  • Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane enjoyed a more sedate time, playing golf

It may only be the start of July but the summer is almost over for footballers - those who are not already back in training, or even playing matches, will soon be back to the usual routines.

Those still on their breaks are making the most of it, especially David Luiz, who shared a snap on social media of him windsurfing.

The Chelsea defender is known for his high octane personality and style of play, and that was certainly in evidence as he described himself in the caption as being in 'vacation mode'.

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane is also still on his holidays, although enjoying a much more sedate time than Luiz.

Kane shared pictures on Instagram of him playing golf, then later on a boat with friends, playing with his baby daughter Ivy.

Another striker trying their hand at a different ball game was Barcelona superstar Neymar, who showed off his basketball skills on the social media site.

On the other hand, Arsenal defender Shkodran Mustafi is not in pre-season training after being given a break following being on Confederations Cup duty with Germany, and instead posted a picture with his bright green Mercedes by a clear blue river.

Among the most social media present footballers on their holidays has been Paul Pogba, and he was at it again, sharing a snap of himself in a summery, if slightly bizarre outfit.

Arsenal midfielder Mohammed Elneny meanwhile shared a pic of him back home in Egypt with a group of adoring young fans, while it is happy birthday to Liverpool's Alberto Moreno, who celebrated turning 25 with a cake of his own kit, including name and shirt number.
