Swansea City have enquired about former Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel.

Swansea are braced for interest in England Under-21 international Alfie Mawson who has impressed since joining from Barnsley for £5.5m last August.

Mawson scored for the Young Lions to set them on a comeback victory over Slovakia at Euro 2017 on Monday.

Afterwards, he revealed his emotions after finding the back of the net for his country.

'It is a night I won't forget in a long time,' he said. 'The first goal for my country? Brilliant! It's come a bit late but it has come. It's a great feeling.'
