Leicester City interim manager Craig Shakespeare has cleared Manchester City's Fernandinho of deliberately trying to hurt Marc Albrighton after the Foxes winger was left with a nasty facial wound.
Albrighton was caught by the Brazilian's flailing arm during Saturday's Premier League game at the Etihad Stadium.
Albrighton was clearly incensed by Fernandinho's challenge during the second half of Manchester City's 2-1 win and, after receiving treatment on a badly-swollen eye, gestured towards referee Robert Madley that his opponent had used an elbow.

'I have sympathy for Marc because he is in there with a black eye and a bruised eye but we have looked at the replay and there is no intent from Fernandinho, ' said Shakespeare.
'It is a competitive challenge, his arms were raised but there is no intent there to do Marc any damage and Marc understands that as well.'
