Bastian Schweinsteiger and Ana Ivanovic appear to be settling into their new life in Chicago, with the pair pictured in matching jerseys at an NHL game on Thursday.

With Ivanovic retired and Schweinsteiger having signed for MLS side Chicago Fire, the sporting couple have moved stateside together.

And they appear to be enjoying their new life, as they headed to watch Chicago Blackhawks play ice hockey at the United Center on Thursday evening.

They both wore home jerseys with Schweinsteiger's favourite No 31 on, with each of their names across the top.

Although spirits seemed high in the crowd, the ice hockey match did not go in Chicago's favour as Nashville ran out 1-0 winners.

There is still time for them to turn it around though, with two games left of their Stanley Cup Western Conference First Round clash.

If they progress from that, they will move on to the second round, before the Conference Finals and then eventually the Stanley Cup Final.

The Blackhawks won the trophy in 2013 and 2015, while last year's version was secured by Eastern Conference side Pittsburgh Penguins.
