Arsene Wenger has revealed that Jack Wilshere has been missing from the club's pre-season preparations in recent days due to a knee injury.
The 24-year-old was a notable absentee as from the friendly victory over Chivas on Sunday and is likely to sit out their next game against Viking on Friday.
The Arsenal boss confirmed that the midfielder has a patella problem but that he should be back to fitness by next week.

'Jack has a slight problem with his knee,' Wenger said. 'We think it should not be very long. He should come back quickly, maybe next week.'
'It's a slight patella problem but I think he should be with us on tour on Thursday.'
However, Arsenal fans will no doubt be concerned about a player who managed just 141 minutes of Premier League football last season.
Wilshere has managed 30 league appearances in just one of his eight seasons since breaking into the first team in 2008.

Arsenal face Manchester City in Gothenburg on Sunday in their final pre-season clash before beginning their Premier League challenge against Liverpool at the Emirates on August 14.
Having struggled to make an impact at Euro 2016, as well as his previous couple of club campaigns, the new season could be make or break for Wilshere's future in the red and white shirt.
