Louis van Gaal won't sign Bayern Munich defender Dante due to conflict with his philosophy
- Manchester United considered a move for Dante earlier in the summer
- Pep Guardiola is happy to sell the defender in this transfer window
- Left sided defender Jonny Evans has joined West Bromwich Albion
Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal is resisting a late move for Bayern Munich centre-back Dante because he has concerns about Brazilian players fitting in with his philosophy.
United considered signing 31-year-old Dante earlier in the summer when he was put forward as a makeweight in a deal to take Angel di Maria to Munich, but the £45million Argentine winger opted to join Paris St Germain instead.
Pep Guardiola is happy to let 2013 Champions League winner Dante leave before the window closes.

But with Van Gaal having doubts despite the sale of another left-sided defender Jonny Evans to West Brom,
Bundesliga Champions League representatives Wolfsburg and Borussia Munchengladbach have joined the race for the £5m defender.
Van Gaal has let go of Brazilians Rafael and Anderson since he has been at the club.
Their teenage compatriot, midfielder Andres Pereira is at Old Trafford on the fringes of the first-team but he grew up in Belgium and van Gaal believes he is suited to his possession-based system.
