He then signed as professional with the North Londoners two years ago - but could not force his way into the first team.

He spent the second half of last season on loan in North Hertfordshire at League Two club Stevenage, making 13 appearances.

Speaking to the Islington Gazette during his loan spell Hinds said: 'I have found League Two far more physical than playing for the youth sides at Arsenal. There are more demands made on players during the game.'

He also represented England at under-16, under-17 and under-18 levels.

He moves to Germany to join up with former academy boss Andries Jonker who is head coach and will start training with Wolfsburg's senior squad.

A statement from Arsenal praised him saying: 'We would all like to thank Kaylen for his contribution to the club and wish him a successful future.'

The manager who took him on loan at Stevenage last season, Darren Sarll, told Sportsmail: 'He's a lovely lad who worked hard with us and had an exemplary attitude.

'He's a credit to himself and Arsenal - and everyone associated with Stevenage wishes him all the best in Germany with Wolfsburg.'
