Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang can seal a transfer to Arsenal before the end of January as long as they come up with the right offer, says Borussia Dortmund chief Michael Zorc.
The Bundesliga club’s sporting director has once again addressed speculation surrounding Aubameyang, amid rumours from Sky Germany that he is among the club officials who want him to leave this winter.
Despite Aubameyang’s involvement against Freiburg in today’s Bundesliga game, Zorc maintains that their position remains the same – and that Arsenal just have to pay the right fee for the Gabonese forward.

‘We have a clear position: Aubameyang wants to leave,’ Zorc said in a statement. ‘Our demands must be met. The previous attempts from Arsenal didn’t meet our demands.’
Aubameyang, 28, has been one of the most lethal strikers in Europe during his time with Dortmund, scoring 141 goals for the club and winning the top scorer prize in the German top flight last season, just pipping Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandoski to the award.
Arsenal could certainly do well to listen to Dortmund’s advice and pay up for the player before the January transfer window slams shut next week.
Having lost Alexis Sanchez to Manchester United this month, Arsenal simply cannot afford not to bring in another world class name up front for the second half of this season.
