Manchester United have reportedly handed Jose Mourinho an £80million transfer budget for January, with three new signings in mind for the club.
According to the Sun, Mourinho wants a right winger, a left-back and a number ten-style creative midfield player after talks with the club’s board over transfers.
It remains to be seen who the specific targets are for United, but there have been several clues in recent transfer reports elsewhere.
The Daily Star have linked United with an interest in Tottenham’s Danny Rose at left-back, while the Daily Mirror are among a number of sources to suggest Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil could be heading to Old Trafford in that attacking midfield role.

United have had a fine start to the season but happen to be up against an unstoppable Manchester City side who have taken an incredible 43 points out of a possible 45 this term.
Mourinho seems aware that his side will need to strengthen even further if they are to have any hope of catching their local rivals, with the title race already arguably looking a foregone conclusion.
Still, United have the resources to back Mourinho and the Sun claim they will do just that as he lines up another spending spree this winter.
