Manchester United star Ashley Young was mocked by his team-mate Anthony Martial despite firing in the club’s winner in a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Brighton yesterday.
The Red Devils were made to work for the three points against a resilient Brighton side, with Young’s goal eventually coming with the aid of a deflection on its way in.
Clearly, Anthony Martial was not too impressed as he couldn’t resist a little joke at his colleague’s expense as they exchanged some Twitter banter.
Young initially tweeted: ‘That was a tough one today, big 3 points in the end! Come on @premierleague….my shot was going on target, I’ve waited long enough for a goal.’
Great goal bro the shot was perfect ???
— Anthony Martial (@AnthonyMartial) November 25, 2017
To which Martial responded: ‘Great goal bro the shot was perfect’ followed by a laughing emoji.
Despite Martial’s teasing, fans will be glad to see him enjoying himself a bit more after previously being accused of looking a little gloomy.
The France international has not always been a regular in his time at Old Trafford, but seems to have knuckled down this year as he makes more of an impact in the first-team.
