Chelsea urged to beat Real Madrid to top signing as replacement for key figure

Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata has reportedly offered his services as a transfer analyst having put a name forward to the club as a key signing.

The Spaniard arrived from Real Madrid this past summer and his absence has been felt at the Bernabeu with Zinedine Zidane’s side struggling so far this season.

It seems as though he’s ready to deal another blow to Los Blancos, as according to Don Balon, as re-reported by The Express, he has advised Chelsea to move for Madrid target and Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.

The 23-year-old is a man in demand having impressed for the La Liga outfit, as the report notes how Madrid are keen to snap him up and with his contract set to expire next summer, they’ll also be looking at the prospect of a bargain deal either in January or a free transfer at the end of the season.

However, they could now face some competition, with Chelsea potentially in the market for a new shot-stopper as per the Express, who note how Thibaut Courtois’s future has been uncertain in recent times with his own contract coming to an end in 2019.

It seems a bit premature for Chelsea to move for a goalkeeper as the Belgian is settled for now and continues to be a pivotal figure in their success, but ultimately Morata has seemingly seen something in Kepa to warrant telling the club that they should act.

Time will tell if Kepa can be convinced over a move to Stamford Bridge, but he doesn’t have to look far for such a move working out for a compatriot as Morata has settled into life well in west London.

The 25-year-old has scored nine goals and provided four assists in 16 appearances so far this season, and so if he’s anything to go by, Chelsea fans will undoubtedly welcome another Spaniard arriving with the seal of approval from their current No.9.
