Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has told forward Joel Campbell that it is now or never for him to get his Gunners career off the ground as the club are in the grip of an injury crisis, the Daily Mirror reports.

Campbell joined Arsenal back in 2011, but has yet to establish himself in the side and has since undergone loan spells in France, Spain and Greece (via Mirror).

He impressed for Costa Rica at the 2014 World Cup, and again in the Champions League when he netter against Manchester United for Olympiacos in the Champions League, but has since struggled to get any regular playing time in north London.

However, with both Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain both out injured, Campbell finally looks as though he will make his first Premier League start for the club against Swansea this weekend, and both player and manager are hoping that it will have been worth the wait.

“I have been very impressed with him, his attitude is outstanding,” Wenger said. “He can be a big help for us. In the coming two to three months he can be very important.

“I didn’t want to send him out on loan again. I wanted to keep him here. He has been on loan two or three times and that it is now or never for him with us.

“For him, as well, you belong to a club. But if you go out on loan a few times, after that you don’t know any more if you belong to the club or not.”
