Liverpool look set to sign AC Milan striker Mario Balotelli having agreed a fee with the Serie A side according to the BBC.
The 24 year old has been offered a £120k a week deal and a four year contract though any move to capture the Italian international will not be completed in time for the former Man City man to face the Premier League title holders on Monday night.

The Anfield side will hope that the controversial marksman doesn’t become a disruptive influence in the dressing room though boss Brendan Rodgers did state that his side are well versed in dealing with such matters;
“We have quite an extensive code of conduct for players and staff. There is no specific one for any one individual.
“This isn’t like many clubs. Liverpool is a club that is a real strong family football club, with values and ethics that run over many years.
“I, as the manager, will fight to protect that always, so no matter which players or professionals are at the club, they will abide by that.
“But we understand that sometimes you have to take a risk with people. And a lot of the time, if you take that risk you can get a reward for it.”
Indeed Balotelli’s potential arrival is with a view to replacing a striker who was something of a handful when it comes to troublesome behaviour, Luis Suarez and one would imagine therefore that Liverpool would have an idea as to how to handle such a character.

Balotelli has proven a regular goalscorer since returning to the San Siro, netting 26 goals in 43 Serie A appearances, and is of course a Premier League title winner from his time at the Etihad Stadium and is well capable of helping Rodgers to fill the void left by Suarez’s move to Barcelona earlier this summer.
Liverpool brought in Rickie Lambert from Southampton early this summer, prior to Suarez’s exit, and subsequently snapped up Belgian teenager Divock Origi, before loaning back to his former club Lille, and as such there is certainly scope for a further striker signing to help support Daniel Sturridge in the Merseyside outfit’s attack.
