Transfer BLOW! Chelsea and Arsenal miss out as Juventus agree deal for in-demand Sampdoria striker Patrik Schick

Juventus have finally reached an agreement with Sampdoria to sign Chelsea and Arsenal target Patrik Schick.

The Serie A champions have been front-runners in the race to land the Czech striker but their failure to complete a deal had given the chasing pack hope of signing him this summer.

The 21-year-old impressed in his debut season in Serie A, scoring 11 goals in 32 appearances following his move from Sparta Prague last summer.

With a release clause of just £21m, Sampdoria have been bracing themselves for bids with Juve linked with him as early as January.

And now, according to reports in Italy, they have reached an agreement to sign the striker on loan for the whole of next season before signing him permanently this time next year.

The fee is said to be around £26.5m, which is more than his release clause, but the payments will be staggered over the next four years.
