Italian giants Roma are interested in snapping up Leicester playmaker Riyad Mahrez, despite reported interest from Arsenal.

The Algeria international may leave the King Power Stadium this summer, with many top European clubs vying for his signature.

After bagging the PFA Player of the Year award in 2016, Mahrez endured an indifferent campaign with Leicester last season, scoring just six goals in the Premier League.

However, he remains a much-coveted man and is believed to be keen to leave Leicester, with Arsenal interested in taking him to the Emirates.

But the Gunners are set to face competition from Serie A for the winger's signature, as according to Leggo, Roma are also keeping a close eye on his situation.

The Italians are preparing a move for the winger and are ready to test Leicester's resolve with a bid in the region of £26m.

Mahrez has a contract until 2020 and the Foxes remain desperate to hold on to him despite the winger's insistence on leaving the King Power.
