Toulouse deny any contact made over defender Issa Diop amid Arsenal and Tottenham interest

Ligue 1 side Toulouse have emphatically quashed speculation linking Arsenal and Tottenham target Issa Diop with a summer exit.

The highly-rated France under-20 star has been attracting the interest of a number of top European clubs, with RB Leipzig and Monaco also keeping tabs on him.

Diop has openly admitted that he would need to leave Toulouse eventually to fulfil his potential on the European stage, but the French club have dismissed selling him this summer.

A club statement reads: "Toulouse Football Club formally denies any contacts that have been reported in the press over the last few days as regards the players that make up our defence.

"TFC states that there is no contact and, moreover, we do not expect it either."

The impressive centre-half will still be high on the list of priorities for a number of clubs, but it remains to be seen whether Toulouse will be willing to change their stance and allow their prized asset to leave this summer.
