Tottenham transfer SHOCK! Eric Dier ‘wants’ Manchester United move, claim reports

Tottenham Hotspur have been rocked by reports that Eric Dier is open to a move to Manchester United this summer.

With their pursuit of Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic reportedly on the verge of collapse, the Red Devils have set their sights on the 23-year-old England international.

United have already seen one bid for the versatile Dier - who can play in both defensive and midfield roles - REJECTED by Spurs.

Tottenham are keen to keep the England youngster, who has shone for the club since arriving from Sporting Lisbon for just £4m in 2014.

He has gone on to make over 100 appearances for the club, plus 19 senior international caps for the Three Lions.

But, according to the Guardian, Man United are expected to test Spurs’ resolve with an improved offer of around £50million.

They are also willing to more than double his current £70,000 weekly wage at White Hart Lane.

United vice-chairman Ed Woodward is said to have spoken to Daniel Levy at the start of the summer, and the Tottenham chief made it clear Dier is categorically not for sale.

But with United willing to spend big, and boyhood United fan Dier apparently keen on a move to Old Trafford, could Spurs allow another player to swap north London for Manchester?
