Tottenham striker Harry Kane wants to play NFL once his career finishes

Tottenham striker Harry Kane has been discussing his future - admitting he would love to play American Football once his career has finished.

Kane plundered 21 goals in a breakthrough Premier League season last term and his form was rewarded with a first England cap, in which he scored within two minutes of his debut.

The 22-year-old, a Spurs academy product, is tipped for to lead the attacking line at White Hart Lane for years to come, before perhaps switching to gridiron.

"It depends on how my football career goes but, when I am finished, I would love to go the NFL and be a kicker,” the Spurs forward told The Sun at the launch of EA SPORTS Madden NFL 16,

“Even if I got to play just one game it is something I would like to do.

"It's a long way off yet. But it is definitely something I have thought about. We've had NFL teams come to Spurs and I can kick the ball as high and as far as them, but not on a consistent basis so I would need a bit of practice first."

In July, Tottenham announced a deal with the NFL that will see them host fixtures in their new stadium after 2018.
