Saul Niguez rules out Manchester United move by signing new NINE-YEAR contract with Atletico Madrid

Saul Niguez has put an end to speculation over his future by signing a new NINE-YEAR contract with Atletico Madrid.

The 22-year-old midfielder is widely regarded as one of the best young players on the planet.

He has been a regular for the LaLiga giants over the past three years and enhanced his reputation this summer with some stunning performances for Spain Under-21s at Euro 2017.

Niguez's impressive form has seen him catch the attention of other elite clubs across Europe, including Barcelona and Manchester United.

But the youngster insisted earlier this week he had no intention of leaving Atletico Madrid - and is now tied to the club until 2026.

"I am very happy because at Atletico we are a family and there is no better place to be,” Níguez said in a statement.

“I will work my full potential on the field as always to pay back the trust that the club is giving to me.

"I’d like to thank all my team-mates and the coaching staff for their help day by day so that I can be the player I am today.”
