Mesut Ozil in action for Arsenal

No Ozil! Arsenal’s Champions League line-up v Dortmund picked by Adrian Durham

Has Arsene Wenger got the bottle to drop Mesut Ozil?

That's what talkSPORT Drive presenter Adrian Durham is asking.

"He’s paid £42million for a skilful footballer, but one who was always keen on clocking off mid-season," he said in his Mail Online column. "Bringing him to the Premier League where there is no winter break was always risky."

Adrian believes Ozil is being carried by his Arsenal team-mates, just as his Germany colleagues did in the World Cup.

"Arsenal’s full-backs go forward, they need protection," he added. "There’s more chance of Joey Barton refusing to talk about himself than there is of Ozil tracking back."

Ahead of the Gunners' Champions League clash against Borussia Dortmund, we asked Adrian to name an Arsenal starting XI without the World Cup winner.

There are concerns over Calum Chambers, with the £16m summer signing struggling with tonsillitis and if he is ruled out, manager Arsene Wenger can call upon right-back Hector Bellerin. This is despite the 19-year-old having just one Arsenal appearance to his name.

Wenger, though, claims Bellerin is not fazed by the pressure. "He’s quick and his final ball is good. He lacks a bit of experience but he’s very dangerous," he added.
