Newcastle United transfer rumour: ‘Probably Torres, Benayoun, Mascherano, Lucas and Skrtel next!’

Liverpool and Newcastle fans have been reacting to reports linking Pepe Reina and Rafa Benitez with a reunion on Tyneside.

The Spanish duo worked together at Anfield and Napoli and St James' Park could be added to that list ahead of Newcastle's Premier League return.

Reina is currently on the books in Naples but the Serie A club are expected to sign Wojciech Szczesny from Arsenal, casting doubt over the 34-year-old's future.

Tim Krul is due back at Newcastle after a two loan spells in the Netherlands last term, while they also have Rob Elliot, Karl Darlow and Matz Sels on their list of goalkeeping options.

Reina's overall spell in England proved to be a success, as he won the FA Cup, Champions League and League Cup under Benitez at Liverpool.
