‘I want Balotelli at Arsenal. And as my drum tech!’ Eddy Thrower takes the talkSPORT Q&A

Throughout this season, we'll be asking top music stars for their thoughts on the beautiful game. And this week it's turn of Lower Than Atlantis drummer, Eddy Thrower...

What’s your favourite talkSPORT Show and why?
Probably Colin Murray!  We met him last year at the Reading and Leeds festivals before we went on on stage. Nice lad!

talkSPORT give you your own show, what’s it’s called and what’s it about?
It would be called "The high and lows of football". It would be based around the best and most skilful players, comparing them with the worst. It would be all about humour because some football shows can get a bit heated sometimes, eh?

Who are the greatest football team in the land?
Arsenal. And Barcelona.

Who is the most rock ‘n’roll player playing the beautiful game right now?
Definitely Mario Balotelli! Hands down. I'd love to see him in an Arsenal shirt.

If you were put in charge of the pre-match entertainment for the FA Cup final at Wembley, what band would you want playing live?
Probably Oasis… who doesn't like Oasis? Especially after a drink or two, surrounded by your mates, watching your team in a final. Gotta be done really!

Who’s gonna sing the National Anthem?
Elton John!

What track are the players walking out onto the pitch to?
'Here We Go'. By us! It got played at the Community Shield the other weekend and it sounded wicked! Especially as Arsenal beat Man City 3-0.

What’s on the stereo in the dressing room to psyche the players up?
’Don't Stop Me Now’ by Queen. It’s what we listen to before we play and its a good mood setter!

You build your own rock ‘n’ roll five-a-side team. Who’s in?
Well, watching all the celebrity matches, I'd stick Olly Murs in there for sure! After that I’d probably have Robbie Williams, Noel Gallagher, Steve Harris, the bass player from Iron Maiden as he's a huge football fan, and Adam Richman from the TV show Man v Food. He may not be a "rock star" but he is a legend… and is a keen footie fan I've heard.

You get to pick one footballer to work as roadie with your band. Who is it and what do you have them doing?
Balotelli again. He’d be my drum tech!

What's going on with the band at the moment?
We’re playing Reading and Leeds this weekend which is amazing, I can't wait! It’s our third year in a row! Also our new self-titled album comes out on September 29! Check out all the bundles and pre-orders at www.lowerthanatlantis.com. Let me know what you think!
