Exclusive – Ryan Giggs ‘absolutely buzzing’ after being given Man United chance, says mentor Harrison

Ryan Giggs is 'buzzing' after being appointed Manchester United’s interim manager, says the man who helped mould him into a star.

Eric Harrison, the former United youth team coach credited with developing the famous Class of '92, has spoken to the Welshman and says Paul Scholes and Nicky Butt will have prominent roles in Giggs’ temporary set-up.

And he believes the ‘three musketeers’ will give the players and supporters a huge lift after David Moyes’ disastrous spell in charge.

Speaking on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast, Harrison said: “I spoke to Ryan this morning and he is absolutely buzzing. He is going to take Paul Scholes and Nicky Butt with him - the three musketeers.

“It will certainly be a different atmosphere in training and at Old Trafford and the fans will buy into it. As soon as Ryan walks out the tunnel, the place will erupt."
