Everton and Tottenham face battle with AC Milan if they step up interest in Andrea Ranocchia

AC Milan have joined Everton and Tottenham in the race for defender Andrea Ranocchia.

The Italian is reportedly frustrated at Inter Milan after falling down the pecking order behind Joao Miranda and Jeison Murillo.

Both Everton and Spurs expressed an interest in the summer but they now face competition for the 27-year-old's signature if they decide to reignite thier interest.

According to Italian broadcaster Mediaset Premium, Inter's rivals Milan are now ready to make a move for Ranocchia in January.

Sinisa Mihajlovic is keen to bolster his squad when the transfer window reopens and believes the Italy international would be the perfect addition.

However, Inter are reluctant to do business with Milan which could allow Everton or Tottenham to sneak in.
