DEAL CLOSE? Former Manchester United ace Angel Di Maria has ‘agreed personal terms’ with Inter Milan

Inter Milan have agreed personal terms with former Manchester United flop Angel Di Maria.

The Argentina international previously spent one season at Old Trafford, before joining Paris Saint-Germain for around £44million in July 2015.

The 29-year-old, who cost Manchester United a British record £59.7m in 2014, has been back to his best in France.

Di Maria's performances have now alerted big-spending Inter and, according to reports in Italy, they have accelerated talks to agree personal terms with him.

The midfielder has provisionally given the green light to join the Italian side on a long-term deal and now discussions are under way over a transfer fee.

PSG are said to want close to the £44m they paid for Di Maria two years ago, while they are also eager to find a replacement before selling him.

Top of the French side's shortlist of replacements is Real Madrid's James Rodriguez, who has been linked to several clubs in England too.
