CONFIRMED: Glen Johnson pens one-year contract extension with Stoke City

Glen Johnson has signed a one-year contract extension with Stoke City, the Premier League club have confirmed.

The former England defender, whose previous deal was due to expire this summer, is now committed to the Potters until at least the summer of 2018.

The 32-year-old right-back, whose past clubs include Chelsea and Portsmouth, joined the club on a free transfer from Liverpool in 2015.

He has played 21 games in all competitions this season, and reached a half-century of appearances for Mark Hughes' men on Saturday, playing the full 90 minutes in a 3-1 defeat of Hull.
