Chelsea clash is the ‘game of the season’ for Arsenal, admits Wenger

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has admitted their clash with Chelsea is ‘the game of the season’ as they attempt to keep their Premier League title hopes alive.

The Gunners currently sit four points behind the Blues, who top the table, and have a game in hand on their London rivals.

And claiming a victory at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, in his 1000th match in charge, would boost their chances of winning the battle for top spot.

"It is the game of the season for us - it's as simple as that,” Wenger said.

"We are in a period where every point is vital now, especially against your direct opponents, so it is for us the most important game of the season now."
